Boyesen, H(jalmar) H(jorth) (1849–1895)| Norwegian literary critic and writer. Boyesen travelled to America in 1869 and was a journalist before becoming a tutor at Urbana University. He went on to teach at Cornell and Columbia University, and was known for such scholarly works as Goethe and Schiller (1879). Boyesen also wrote several novels as well as children's stories and poetry. |
