Boyne

River in the Republic of Ireland, rising in the Bog of Allen in County Kildare, and flowing 110 km/69 mi northeastwards through Trim, Navan, and Drogheda to the Irish Sea. An obelisk marks the site of the Battle of the Boyne, fought at Oldbridge near the mouth of the river on 1 July 1690.
