Boynton Beach

City in southeastern Florida, 24 km/15 mi south of West Palm Beach; population (1990) 46,200. It is a popular winter resort, connected by bridge to the barrier-island town of Ocean Ridge (population (1990) 1,600), earlier also called Boynton Beach, on the Atlantic.
