Bradley, Scott

    0.04 sec.

Bradley, Scott (1891–1977)

US composer of animation film music. Working for the US film-production company Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM), with Carl Stalling, he developed the click-track which enables a composer to write a music track to any desired tempo for a given length of film. He also introduced classical music to Tom and Jerry cartoons.

Examples of music for Tom and Jerry include Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 for Cat Concerto (1946), and 12-tone row on piccolo to represent Jerry and the same row in reverse played by oboe to represent Tom for The Cat that Hated People (1948).
