Brady, ‘Diamond Jim’ (1856–1917)

US financier. In 1888 Brady became the only agent in the USA for the Fox Pressed Steel Car Truck Company of England. He was extremely wealthy and was noted for his extravagant diamond jewellery. He donated much of his fortune to Johns Hopkins Hospital and New York Hospital for research into urology.
