Brampton

Market town in Cumbria, England, situated 14 km/9 mi east of Carlisle; population (2001) 4,400. Talkin Tarn, a country park, is nearby. Naworth Castle, originally built in 1335, but much restored in the 19th century, lies 5 km/3 mi to the east of Brampton.
