Brandywine Creek

Stream rising in Chester County, Pennsylvania; length 32 km/20 mi. It rises in southeast Pennsylvania and flows into the Christina River, and finally into the Delaware at Wilmington. It was the site of a battle in 1777 during the American Revolution (see Brandywine, Battle of), and gives its name to a widespread marine and alluvial terrace.

It is centrally situated between downtown Philadelphia, Reading, Lancaster and the Brandywine Valley.
Other stops along the way include a visit to Independence National Historic Park, a tour of National Constitution Center, and a full day's excursion to the beautiful Brandywine Valley.
The spouse tour of the Brandywine Valley will be fairly informal, and good walking shoes will again be a must.
