Briarcliff Manor

Community in Ossining town, southeastern New York, 48 km/30 mi north of New York City; population (1990) 7,100. It was founded in 1896 as a planned community for the wealthy, and remains an affluent suburb.

Briarcliff Junior College and King's College were formerly here.
