Brie

District of northern France, lying between the Rivers Seine and Marne; area 6,500 sq km/2,510 sq mi. The district is divided into two parts: West Brie, now absorbed into Ile-de-France region, and East Brie, formerly the county of Meaux. The district gives its name to a type of cheese.

Brie was formed from part of the former province of Champagne.

One must eat every day, and the finest Alexandrine verses are not worth a bit of Brie cheese.
The meal was to finish with an enormous fromage de Brie, which stood near the window and added fragrant odours to all the others which filled the studio.
