Brimfield

Town in Hampden County, southern Massachusetts, 31 km/19 mi east of Springfield; population (1998 est) 3,100. A small agricultural centre, it is now well known as the site of huge outdoor antiques markets, known as the Brimfield Fairs. Held each May, July, and September, they attract up to 5,000 antiques dealers from all over the USA.

Brimfield was settled in the 1700s.
