Brockville

City and administrative headquarters of Leeds and Grenville United Counties, southeastern Ontario, Canada, on the St Lawrence River, 91 km/57 mi south of Ottawa, opposite Morristown, New York; population (1991) 21,600. Products include hardware, food products, electrical and telephone equipment, pharmaceuticals, and metal goods. It is a departure point for boat trips to the Thousand Islands. It was settled in the late 18th century.
