Brooklyn Center

City in southeastern Minnesota, on the Mississippi River, a residential suburb immediately north of Minneapolis; population (1990) 28,900. There was much commercial development in the 1980s.

Settled in the 1840s, it was an agricultural trading centre until the post-war suburban boom.
