Brooks, Alfred

Brooks, Alfred (Hulse) (1871–1924)

US geographer. An authority on Alaska, his work The Geography and Geology of Alaska (1906) was a comprehensive treatment of the subject. A mountain range in that state bears his name.

He was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In 1903 he was made chief of the Alaska section of the Geological Survey.
