Broome, David (1940– )

Welsh show jumper. He won the 1970 world title on Beethoven and helped Britain to the team title in 1978. He was European champion in 1961, 1967, and 1968, and he won the King George V Gold Cup a record six times between 1960 and 1991. His sister Liz Edgar was also a top-class show jumper.
