| Coastal village and resort in the west of Highland unitary authority, Scotland, at the mouth of the Brora River, about 27 km/17 mi northeast of Dornoch; population (2001) 1,140. Coal was formerly mined nearby, but Brora's industry is now centred on the local woollen mills, brickworks, and distillery. |
