Brothers, Joyce (born Joyce Diane Bauer) (1927– )| US psychologist, television and radio personality. Over the years she dispensed advice on popular psychology via appearances on radio and television and a syndicated newspaper column. Her books include How to Get Whatever You Want Out of Life (1979) and What Every Woman Should Know About Men (1982). |
| She was born in New York City. She gained a PhD in psychology from Columbia University in 1953. She first appeared on the $64,000 Question in 1955 and the $64,000 Challenge in 1956. She soon had her own Dr. Joyce Brothers radio advice programme 1958–63. |
