Brown, Walter Folger (1869–1961)

US lawyer, Republican politician, and postmaster general. He campaigned for Theodore Roosevelt and William Howard Taft, and served in the administration of Warren G Harding. As postmaster general under Herbert Hoover 1929–33, he expanded airmail and tried unsuccessfully to expand passenger air service, using airmail contracts as an incentive.

He was born in Massillon, Ohio.
