browning

An English form of fancy for viols, similar to the In Nomine, but based on a folktune instead of a plainsong theme.

Browning

Town in northwestern Montana, 64 km/40 mi southwest of Cut Bank; population (2000) 1,100. It is the headquarters of the Blackfeet Indian Reservation and a trade centre for the agricultural products of the region. With Glacier National Park to the east, it is also a resort town and tourism is important.

Browning was founded in 1895.
