    0.04 sec.

Bruhns, Nicolaus (1665-1697)

German organist, string player, and composer. His elaborate preludes and fugues and sacred concertos form an important link between Dietrich Buxtehude and Johann Sebastian Bach.

He was first employed in Copenhagen, Denmark, and was then town organist at Husum, Slesvig-Holstein. He wrote cantatas, motets with orchestra, and organ music.
