Brunelle, Philip (1943– )

US conductor. He was musical director of the Minnesota Opera 1968–85 and has directed the Plymouth Music Series since 1969. He conducted the Minnesota Orchestra 1963–68 and has guest-conducted throughout the USA and Europe; he has led opera at Drottningholm (Soliman II by Kraus), Aldeburgh (the first recording of Britten's Paul Bunyan), San Francisco, Washington DC, and Houston.
