Bukidnon

Interior mountainous province of northern Mindanao Island in the Philippines; area 8,294 sq km/3,202 sq mi; population (1995) 940,000. The capital is Malaybalay. Livestock grazing is important, as is pineapple growing, and other products include corn, coffee, and hemp. Parts of Bukidnon are still unexplored.
