Bulatović, Momir (1928– )

Montenegrian politician, president of Montenegro 1990–97, and prime minister of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia 1998–2000. He was a founder member of the League of Communists of Yugoslavia, and went on to become leader of the Republican League of Communists. He became chair of the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS) in 1990, and fought the presidential election in the same year. An ally of Federal Republic of Yugoslavia president Milošević, it was he who appointed Bulatović as his prime minister.

He was educated at Titograd University (since 1992 known as Podgorica).
