Bullard, Robert Lee

Bullard, Robert Lee (1861–1947)

US general. He served in the Spanish-American War 1898 in the Philippines, and then in France in World War I.

Bullard was born in Youngstown, Alabama, and trained at the military academy of West Point. He commanded a brigade of the First Division of the US expeditionary force in France 1917, and later commanded the First and Second US armies, taking a prominent part in the second battle of the Marne Jul 1918. He retired from the army 1925.
