Bullhead City

City in northwestern Arizona, on the Colorado River across from Laughlin, Nevada, and 110 km/70 mi southwest of Las Vegas; population (2000) 33,800. Founded in 1945 as a construction camp for the Davis Dam, just upstream, by the early 1990s it was the fastest-growing city in Arizona.

It has a large second home and retired population. Bullhead City is also a resort base for fishing enthusiasts, boaters, and gamblers who frequent Laughlin's casinos.
