Bundy, McGeorge

Bundy, McGeorge (1919–1996)

US public official and educator. He was special national security adviser to presidents John F Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson 1961–66 and played a prominent role in pursuing the Vietnam War.

Bundy was born in Boston, Massachusetts. He taught and served as a dean at Harvard University. He went on to become Ford Foundation president 1966–79, and history professor at New York University.
