Bunshaft, Gordon (1909-1990)

US architect. While working for the architectural practice Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, he produced the first modernist building to be completely enclosed in curtain walling (walls which hang from a rigid steel frame), the Lever Building 1952 in New York. He also designed the Heinz Company's UK headquarters 1965 at Hayes Park, London.
