Leith

Port in City of Edinburgh unitary authority, Scotland, south of the Firth of Forth, which was incorporated into Edinburgh in 1920. Leith was granted to Edinburgh as its port by Robert the Bruce in 1329. By the 15th century, Leith dominated the maritime commerce of the Lothian area, and several times served as a military strongpoint. The port is now a zone for service sector development.
