Burlington County| County in south-central New Jersey, bounded to the west by the Delaware River; area 2,093 sq km/808 sq mi; population (1990) 395,100. It is the largest county in the state. Its capital is Mount Holly. The northwest contains residential suburbs of Trenton and Camden; towns include Willingboro, Burlington, and Bordentown. The heavily wooded, partially agricultural central and southern areas contain large parts of the Wharton, Lebanon, Penn, and Bass River state forests. |
