Burr, Raymond (1917-1993)

Canadian actor. Known for his resonant, ominous voice, he graduated from playing assorted Hollywood villains to the eponymous investigative heroes Perry Mason and Ironside in two long-running television series. He played the murderer in Alfred Hitchcock's Rear Window (1954). His other films include The Pitfall (1948), Raw Deal (1948), The Blue Gardenia (1953), The Adventures of Don Juan (1948), and Godzilla, King of the Monsters (1956).
