Burrillville

Town in northwestern Rhode Island, 27 km/17 mi northwest of Providence, on the Branch River and the Massachusetts and Connecticut borders; population (1990) 16,200. There are textile mills, dairy farms, apple orchards, granite quarries, and resorts.

It includes the villages of Bridgeton, Glendale, Mapleville, Masonville, Mount Pleasant, Oakland, and Pascoag. Its administrative centre is Harrisville.
