Burrows, Stuart (1933– )

Welsh tenor. He made his opera debut with the Welsh National Opera in 1963 as Verdi's Ismael, and sang at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, London, from 1967 as Beppe, Fenton, and Elvino. His US debut was in San Francisco, in 1967, as Tamino, and he appeared at the New York Metropolitan Opera House in 1971, as Don Ottavio. In 1989 he returned to the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, as Mozart's Tito. His other roles include Faust, Lensky, Ernesto, and Rodolfo.
