Busch, August A (Anheuser), Jr (‘Gussie’) (1899-1989)

US brewer. He joined the family business, Anheuser-Busch, as a young man; as president 1946-75, he built this small company into the world's largest brewer through massive national advertising.

He was born in St Louis, Missouri. He introduced the Budweiser Clydesdale horse team and bought the St Louis Cardinals baseball team in 1953.
