In recent years, the emphasis has shifted to include the study of such issues as environmental policy, corporate responsibility, business ethics, and internationalism. The masters of business administration has become a highly prized degree in many professions.

The major business schools are the London Business School (LBS) in the UK, Harvard in the USA, and Insead in France.
