Butterley, Nigel (Henry) (1935– )

Australian composer. He studied at New South Wales Conservatory and with Priaulx Rainier in London, England. His music has progressed from a style influenced by Béla Bartók, Paul Hindemith, and Dmitri Shostakovich to the avant garde.
