push-button

In computing, in a dialog box or toolbar, a square, oval, or oblong button which presents the user with an option. By clicking on the button, the user opts to initiate an action such as centering text or saving a file. Most programs offer keyboard shortcuts as an alternative to using a push-button, for example one can often hit the return key instead of clicking the ‘OK’ button in a dialogue box. Compare radio button.
