Buus, Jachet (Jacques) (c. 1500-1565)

Flemish organist and composer. He first published some work in France, but went to Italy and in 1541 became organist at St Mark's in Venice, succeeding Baldassare da Imola. He went to Vienna on leave in 1550 but never returned, and became organist at the court of Ferdinand I.
