Bylsma, Anner (1934- )

Dutch cellist. He was principal of the Concertgebouw Orchestra 1962-68 and has toured the world as a concert soloist and recitalist; he is best known for his performances of Baroque music using original instruments (Bach Suites for solo cello, and trios with Frans Brueggen and Gustav Leonhardt). His teaching posts have included Erasmus Scholar at Harvard (1982).
