Byoir, Carl (Robert) (1888-1957)

US public relations executive. Among diverse business ventures, including the introduction of Montessori teaching to the USA, he was best known as a public relations specialist. He founded his own public relations agency in 1930. He was charged with Nazi collusion for representing the German Tourist Information Office.

He was born in Des Moines, Iowa. In 1946 he was convicted of violating antitrust laws with a client.
