C2C

Internet business model where transactions are conducted between one consumer and another. Online auction Web sites, such as eBay, are effectively C2C Web sites, because the majority of transactions that take place are between private individuals. Another example of this idea is peer-to-peer (P2P) networking, in which users access for information the hard drives of other users, although by the early 2000s this was generally not used for commercial transactions.
