quart
A unit of liquid or dry measure of volume or capacity. One liquid quart is equal to one-quarter of a gallon, or two pints, or 32 fluid ounces (0.946 litre), while a dry quart is equal to one-eighth of a peck, or two dry pints (1.101 litre).
The British and Canadian imperial quart equals two imperial pints or 1.136 litre.
