Cadéac, Pierre

    0.41 sec.

Cadéac, Pierre (lived 16th century)

French composer. He was master of the choirboys at Auch (near Toulouse) in 1556. He composed Masses, motets, and chansons, including perhaps the ‘Je suis désheritée’ ascribed to him by the music publisher Pierre Attaingnant in 1539 (but to ‘Lupus’ by the same publisher in 1533). This famous piece was used as the basis of numerous Masses in the 16th century, including one by Palestrina.
