County supervisors last week approved the contract with LunchStop, a food-service management company that operates cafeterias as franchises in 60 locations in California, Texas and Oregon. Now I know that cafeterias get very little respect among sophisticated gourmets. So the Los Angeles Unified School District board unanimously voted Tuesday night to improve the fare - and the entire lunch experience - at local cafeterias. |
