Caffarelli (1710–1783)

Italian castrato alto. A pupil of Nicola Porpora, he made his operatic debut in Rome, in 1726, in Domenico Sarro's Valdemaro. He sang for Handel in London, England, in 1738, creating the title roles in Faramondo and Serse.
