Calabresi, Guido (1932- )

Italian-born US legal scholar. He was an expert in liability law, including medical malpractice and property. He is the author of The Costs of Accidents (1970), Tragic Choices (1978), and Ideals, Beliefs, Attitudes and the Law (1985).

He was born in Milan, Italy. Educated in the USA and England, he joined the faculty of Yale University Law School in 1959, serving as dean since 1985.
