Caldicot

Town in Monmouthshire, south Wales, 10 km/6 mi southwest of Chepstow; population (2001) 11,300. It has a striking ruined castle (situated within a country park) which is largely from the 12th century and was originally moated. Strip steel is manufactured at the nearby Llanwem steelworks.
