Caldwell, Philip (1920- )

US executive. He had a long career at Ford Motor Company 1953-85. He introduced the Ford Fiesta to Europe. Becoming president of the company 1978-80, he retired as CEO and chairman.

He was born in Bourneville, Ohio. At Ford he variously headed truck operations, the Philco division, and international operations. He was also senior managing director at Shearson Lehman Brothers, New York in 1985.
