The marsh marigold, or kingcup, has large yellow flowers. It is widely found by streams and water meadows in Europe, Asia, and the USA.

Plant belonging to the buttercup family, known as the kingcup in the UK and as the cowslip in the USA. It grows in moist, sheltered places and has brilliant yellow five-sepalled flowers. (Caltha palustris, family Ranunculaceae.)
