Calton Hill

Hill in City of Edinburgh unitary authority, Scotland, overlooking central Edinburgh from the east. On its summit are Nelson's monument, an upturned telescope built to commemorate the victory of the Battle of Trafalgar and designed by the Scottish architect Robert Burn; the unfinished National Monument of 1822; and two disused observatories.
