Campbellsville

City in Taylor County, central Kentucky, USA, 113 km/70 mi south-southeast of Louisville; population (2000) 10,500. Industries include limestone quarrying, and textiles, fruit, dairy products, and clothing are also produced.

Incorporated in 1817, it developed as a market for livestock, tobacco, and other crops. The city is home to Campbellsville College (1906).
