Cantos, The

Series of 117 poems written 1925–69 by US poet Ezra Pound. An epic work, its complex collage structure contains a vast body of information drawn from diverse cultures using several languages. It attempted a massive, unifying reappraisal of history, but ended incomplete in fragmentation.

It is a key work of modern poetry.
